EXSTR Apartments was founded in June 2020, born from a need for high-quality property management at a building nearing completion, developed in collaboration with a group of investors led by Patrick. After an extensive and ultimately unsuccessful search for a suitable hotel operator, Patrick made a bold decision: in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he launched his own company to take on the challenge directly.
At this pivotal moment, Patrick reached out to Harold — a former colleague and trusted professional — to join him as a co-founder. Harold brought with him eight years of invaluable experience with the Marriott Group in New York, equipping him with deep expertise in hospitality operations and a strong foundation in customer service excellence.
Together, Patrick and Harold combined entrepreneurial spirit with operational know-how, laying the groundwork for what would become EXSTR Apartments. From the outset, their vision was clear: to deliver world-class guest experiences and high-performing hospitality investments.
The name EXSTR is an acronym, reflecting the company’s roots in Explorer Capital and Short Term Rentals.

Luis and his team of McGyvers are on top of the constant upkeep and maintains the our buildings and apartments in pristine condition.
Guest service supervisor
Jorge leads the guest service team which handles all reservations, legal compliance and overall satisfaction of each stay.
Head of housekeeping
Luz Celia and her right hand Bety supervise and train all the housekeepers, ensuring amazing first impressions from our guests from the moment they arrive.
